We have much to be thankful for in our community and families....I hope you have a fun-filled Thanksgiving with your loved ones and that the memories created will last a lifetime!
A big thanks to all the parents who stopped in for American Education week or sent in treats to enjoy! The children always love to show off their skills and the math stations were lots of fun! The Turkey shoot was well attended and lots of fun too...thanks for your support of our PE program and fifth grade classes!
THERE IS NO HOMEWORK PACKET FOR NEXT WEEK...it is a vacation after all! When your child reads you can mark it on their Read to Succeed log. I have sent home a new math website(Xtra math) for facts practice which will really help since it keeps track of the facts they know and the ones they need to work on...it also sends me reports as to who is practicing! We will have a spelling test on the words they are bringing home, but will also practice them at stations when we return from the break!
Reminders: Tomorrow is Spirit Day! Please wear Eagle wear or black and orange to show your support! Our school is collecting markers which have dried up for the Crayloa Color Support Program. The school who collects the most markers gets $500.00 for their use. We are currently in 4th place! The program runs until April so clean out those craft closets...
We do have school on Monday and Tuesday so if your child is absent they will need to make up any missed work when they return. I am giving the end of unit assessment for writing on Monday.
