As we approach our day off on Monday for Veteran's Day please take a moment to honor and remember all those who have served or are serving our country. Their sacrifices allow us to have and to keep our freedom! Talk to your child about the day and share with them any family, friends who have been in the military! To any of you who are Veteran's I THANK YOU for your service and your sacrifices!
The Lip Sync show was fANTastic! I loved being a part of it! Congratulations to all of you who did such a wonderful job!
TODAY is the big day....the students are so excited to perform their ANTics show and share all of their learning with you! Please be at school with time to park, sign in and make it to our room for a prompt 2:00 show.You may sign your child out at 3 to go home with you if you would like.
The Raffe report for week of 11/11/13:
Social Studies: Communities - the focus for this week is Me on the Map, citizenship and American symbols of patriotism
Math: Unit 4: working with equal sets of numbers (repeated addition, arrays, skip counting patterns)
Our November facts assessments will be the week of 11/18. Keep practicing - they are coming along!
Reading: Main idea, reading/retelling information from nonfiction books,beginning of introduction to Fairy Tales
Writing: Effective endings, learning to write goals for writing, re-reading to edit our work
Spelling: word pattern: ar, (the pirate sound)
As the parent helpers have started to come in to help out I have been proud of how the students are doing their work. They have already grown so much in just two short months....thanks for your support and for sharing in the fun of learning!!!
