Sailing Away!!!

It is hard to believe that it is time for my crew to sail on to new lands and adventures in third grade! I have enjoyed being their Captain and thank all of you for the wonderful support you have given to me this year.....our teamwork really made this year one of success for each of your students. As you look at their end of year information, please remember that the AIMS web math assessment is an 8 minute snapshot and we have taught them to take their time, work carefully and check over their work. There may be a discrepancy in results from what you know to be their true ability (math work/average during the year). The fluency assessment is 3 one minute readings. You and I both know how your child is doing in all curricular areas and the report card reflects this information best. I hope you all have a summer filled with fun and memory-making good times....try to squeeze in some reading, writing and math too. Your third grade teacher will be thankful and so will your child once September rolls around!!!
